What is nail fungus?

Nail fungus is general situation that start to begin yellow or white spot under the nails. As Nail fungus increases nail becomes thicker, brittle and sometimes it’s becomes painful.
But, if you follow some remedies and treatment then you come back on track previously.
Causes of nail fungus:
Many of thing is responsible for nail fungus .but especially Microorganism like fungi causes nail infection. Some of other reasons are:
• Release more sweats in your feet as well as in your hand.
• Working in warm environment
• Direct contact with person who suffer from such issue.
• Weak immune system or circulatory problem
• Medical condition like diabetes, aids, etc.
• Polish of nail for long time
• Use of instrument which is not cleaned, generally find in nail saloon
• Direct with public showers, gyms, locker room, swimming pool etc.
Risk factors:
There are many risk factors which increase the chances of the nail fungus .some of the common risk factors is given below:
• Week immune system.
• Skin injury surrounding the nail.
• Wear tight or improper shoe.
• Diseases like diabetes.
• Age about 60 or chances in older adults.
Symptoms of nail fungus:
• Shape of the nail becomes brittle, crumble, rough.
• You may feel pain while touch on the infected part.
• Color of the nail changes.
• Nail may see duller.
• Nail becomes thicker.
• Pus coming through the infected nail.
Ayurvedic treatments:
Some of the ayurvedic remedies are mentioned below which will give effective result in case of nail fungus:
Neem
Neem has strong antioxidant property which is capable to treat toenail infection which is causes by the fungus. It work as antibacterial agent and prevent the growth of the fungus in infected nail and its surrounding skin.
amalaki
amakali is generally used to treat toenail infection causes due to bacteria or fungi. This herb contains rich sources of vitamin c, which are capable to improve the function of immune system.it work as anti-bacterial agent against the fungus and helps regeneration of infected tissue. It also helps to regrowth of the nail.
Guduchi
Guduchi is ability to overcome the symptoms of fungal infection like brittleness and pain in the nail.it also play the role of antifungal agent and destroy the growth of fungus which is responsible for infection.
Use turmeric paste
First of all, to make this paste mix the few amount of turmeric powder with 3-4 drops of mustard oil. Then apply this paste on infected area and cover it with bandage. Repeat this process 3 times daily. You will get result very soon.
Use garlic paste
To make garlic paste, you need 3-4 cloves of garlic then crushed it with mixer. Then apply this paste on infected wound of the toenail and cover it with bandage. Try this process at night or before sleeping for better result.
Cedar
Cedar has antibacterial property that has ability to treat fungal infection. First immerse the leaves of cedar in the bottle of either olive oil or almond oil. Keep this for one –two week then applies it on the infected part.
Chamomile
Due to anti-bacterial property it gives very effective result in case of fungal infection.so, to use this first take chamomile leaves and immerse it in warm water for one hour. Then apply your infected part inside the solution then it dry with clean towel.
Calendula
It is antibacterial agent which kills the fugus.to use this, first immerse the calendula leaves in warm water for half or one hour then keep your infected part inside the solution. You find your result very soon.
Prevention of fungus infection
• Wash your foot properly every day.
• Reduce the consumption of dairy products and food product which contain more sugar.
• Avoid direct contact with person who gets fungal infection.
• Don’t use tight shoe or improper fitting shoe.
• Keep your nail clean as possible.
• Wash or change your socks and shoe after physical activity.
